Classification – Dentition

The following dentition classification focusses on the toxicological aspects. Venomous snakes usually have distinct fangs. These fangs break the skin of a bite victim, for targeted venom insertion. Other functionalities of snake dentition, like grabbing and holding prey, are irrelevant in this regard.
